Lasers
Laser resurfacing is performed using a beam of focused light energy that vaporizes the outer layers of damaged or wrinkled skin at precise levels of penetration. Laser resurfacing may offer a number of advantages over other resurfacing methods such as chemical or mechanical (deeper peels or dermabrasion). In some cases, the latter or more traditional methods may be a more appropriate choice. All resurfacing techniques (laser, chemical, mechanical) rely on selectively stripping away outer damaged skin layers and allowing the body's own regenerative capacity to replace the removal of cells with newer, healthier ones. This results in a smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin surface.
